Abstract

Abstract

The study on the effect of lanthanum-proline and lanthanum-phenylalanine complexes on Isochrysis galbana showed that these two complexes could distinctly enhance its cell reproduction and chlorophyll synthesis. When the concentrations of lanthanum-proline and lanthanum-phenylalanine were 5~20 mg/dm³, the cell numbers on the sixth day were increased by 10.8%~17.2% and 11.5%~20.5%,and the concentrations of chlorophyll by 31.7%~37.5% and 44.7%-48.4%,respectively (P<0.05),with an optimum concentration of 10 mg/dm³. The effect of lanthanum-proline and lanthanum-phenylalanine on Isochrysis galbans was the same as that of lanthanum.
